Unísono Festival
Unísono is an annual music and cultural festival held in Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood, and organized by The Resurrection Project. Unísono celebrates community empowerment through diversity, education and social justice. The festival features popular musical performances, poetry performances and readings from renowned authors, as well as a variety of free educational and art workshops, art viewings with local artists, and more.
Each year Unísono attracts thousands of attendees who come together with the active participation of well-known businesses, organizations, and local and national media outlets. Unísono is the culmination of a series of cultural and social programs in Pilsen; similarly this initiative aligns with The Resurrection Project’s mission of building healthy communities in this case by strengthening the cultural assets of a community.
